My usual arrangement

I am a COO who works with multiple organizations. I usually work on-site with each organization one or two days a week for six to nine months. We agree on the time and scope around what your organization needs.

I work alongside you and your leadership team on the decisions and work you're facing. Your people learn how to execute through that work, and I mentor you as executive director while the organization evolves.

What happens between on-site days?

  • Targeted Access: I am available via text, email and phone for check-ins to work through urgent team decisions or review time-sensitive updates.

  • Dependable Rhythm: Urgent items receive timely support without setting an expectation of constant availability or creating constant disruption.

  • Focused On-Site Hours: Non-critical strategic discussions are held for scheduled on-site time to address them deeply alongside your leadership team.

How an engagement is set up

We begin with a conversation about what is happening and what you have already tried.

If working together can be useful, we agree on the scope, fee, and milestones. I stay involved while the team puts changes into practice. As the organization becomes ready to carry the work forward, we agree on how and when I step back and how further check-ins would help.

For organizations considering capacity-building funding, almost $100,000 in project work has already been funded through endowment sources.

An observation from my practice

In this work, I have found that what an executive or board intends and what people understand can differ. A priority may be clear to the leadership team, while your people may still be unsure what to do first or who can make a decision. I ask about that gap as we work out what needs attention.
